On 1 March 2025, the Captains Mountain Wind Farm team hosted an information booth again at the Millmerran Show. We welcomed more than 45 visitors to our stand, including community members, our local landowners, our project neighbours, government representatives, and emergency services personnel. It was encouraging to see a mix of familiar faces and new visitors, highlighting a continued and growing interest in the project.
Visitors this year were generally interested in updates on the progress of the project. We also spoke with emergency planning personnel about emergency response planning, reinforcing our commitment to working with local services and stakeholders. Some visitors did express concern about potential visual impacts and the team discussed how this is being addressed. A number of visitors were keen to know about potential jobs and other potential community benefits and sponsorship opportunities.
